In a recent post from Saints Wire, the New Orleans Saints have already started scouting some of their top talent ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft next April. The Saints attended several games this weekend, including Cincinnati vs Bowling Green, to watch the Cincinnati Bearcats' defensive tackle Dontay Corleone.
Saints Wire credits Neil Meyer of Front Office Sports as the one to first cover the story, stating they were one of six teams expected to be in attendance for the game. The San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, New York Giants, and Indianapolis Colts were all in attendance for the game as well. It is unknown if they were there scouting Corleone as well as other players on the Bearcats or Bowling Green roster.
Saints Wire mentioned the names of Joe Royer, Jake Golday, and Brendan Sorsby, who are also potentially being scouted. For Corleone, he ended the game with 2 solo tackles, half a sack, and half a tackle for a loss. Corleone passed on the NFL draft the last two seasons even with draft experts projecting him as a 2nd or 3rd round pick the last two seasons. Corleone, a Cincinnati native who attended Colerain High School, is in his final year of eligibility to play college football.
Be on the lookout for Corleone this season as he tries to boost his draft stock.
Expected Scouts in attendance at Nippert Stadium for Cincinnati’s home opener.
