These six former Cincinnati Bearcat Athletes mark the UC Athletics Hall of Fame class of 2025

Meridy Glenn (1983-2007)

Meridy Glenn is entering the hall of fame for her work as the head coach for the UC women's soccer team for 25 seasons. During her tenure, she amassed 250 wins, made six NCAA tournaments, won three conference championships, and won 5 conference tournaments.

She was known to have a profound impact on both winning and fostering great relationships with all her players. Her speeches during pregame, postgame, and during the game were known to inspire everyone, with her signature win coming against Notre Dame to advance to the Sweet Sixteen in 2004.

Nearly 10 months ago, it was announced that she would also be inducted into the Ohio Collegiate Hall of Fame.

Tom Marvaso (1973-75)

Tom Marvaso was a safety and returner for the Cincinnati Bearcats Football team from 1973 to 1975. Marvaso made his impact as a punt returner, however.

Marvaso is top five in Punt Return Yardage over a single season and is one of six players to return more than 1 punt for a touchdown in a season with the Bearcats.

In 1975, he was named an AP All-American by The Sporting News and was then drafted in the sixth round of the 1976 NFL Draft by the New York Jets.

Mike Mickens (2005-2008)

Mike Mickens played for the Cincinnati Bearcats Football team from 2005-2008 and was a very impactful player during his time.

During his 4 seasons, Mickens totaled 234 tackles, a record 14 interceptions, 3 pick sixes, and 37 passes defended.

In 2007, he finally blossomed into a star defensive player, being named a First Team All-American player by the FWAA. Mickens defended 12 passes, had 53 tackles, and combined for 14 interceptions with fellow cornerback DeAngelo Smith.

Mickens made 4 All-Big East teams and was a semi-finalist for the Jim Thorpe award in 2008. He was drafted in the seventh round, No. 227, to the Dallas Cowboys in the 2009 NFL Draft.

Mike Mickens is currently the Defensive Backs coach and the Defensive Pass Game Coordinator for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He joined the Irish when former Cincinnati Bearcats' Defensive Coordinator, Marcus Freeman left for Notre Dame, Mickens left Cincinnati as well to follow Freeman.

Jessie Nevitt (2005-2008)

Jessie Nevitt played volleyball for Cincinnati Bearcats from 2005-2008, and was a three-time American Volleyball Coaches Association honorable mention. Her impact and growth toward the Volleyball program at Cincinnati is extremely overlooked.

Tony Pike (2004-2009)

Tony Pike is the highlight of the 2025 Hall of Fame class, playing for the UC Bearcats football team from 2004-2009. In his three seasons as starter from 2007-2009, Pike totaled 5018 passing yards, 49 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions in 27 games.

Pike was part of the Bearcat Football era that put the program on the map, playing in some of the biggest games in Bearcats Football History.

Pike briefly played in the NFL, being drafted in the 204th overall by the Carolina Panthers in 2010. He also had a brief stint on the Bengals.

KB Sharp (1999-2003)

KB Sharp is arguably one of the best Cincinnati Women's Bearcats players of all time, playing in Cincinnati from 1999-2003 and then having a six-year WNBA career.

Sharp, in 2002-03, in her Senior Season at Cincinnati, averaged 13.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists, making All-Conference USA First Team.

The New York Liberty selected Sharp 26th overall in the second round of the 2003 WNBA Draft. In her six-year career, she averaged 7.1 points and 3.6 assists, and put the Cincinnati women's basketball program into national prominence.
