Former Cincinnati Bearcats tight end and current Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was named in the NFL's top 100 list. Kelce was ranked the No. 79 player in the NFL during the 2025-26 season, a step back from his No. 36 ranking in 2024-25. Kelce caught 76 passes for 851 yards and 5 touchdowns in 16 games played last season. Kelce hasn't had fewer than 80 passes caught since 2016, his third season in the NFL. This marked the third straight season that Kelce failed to reach 1,000 receiving yards after doing it for seven consecutive seasons from 2016-2022.
In his 13 NFL seasons, Kelce has been named to the Top 100 list 11 times and has ranked No. 5 in the NFL three times in 2020, 2021, and 2022. His first appearance came in 2015, when he was ranked No. 91. the next 7 seasons, Kelce wouldn't leave the Top 30, cementing himself as one of the best tight ends ever, but also one of the best primes we've ever seen.
Kelce has been tracking down statistically ever since 2022, but he recently signed a one-year deal worth $12 million that is structured to add years. Kelce hasn't made it known if he will retire or continue to play after this season, but this contract gives him flexibility if he wants to play with the Chiefs or elsewhere if that's what he decides. Rumors have been surfacing that this is Kelce's last dance, although he hasn't confirmed or denied anything himself. 14 years is a long time in the NFL, and you don't see a lot of players last that long, especially at a more physically demanding position.
