After a wild and crazy Saturday night that saw Houston pull of an incredible comeback to keep their perfect season alive and Temple lay an egg in a blowout loss, the league title picture is starting to become cut-and-dried. Temple probably blew their shot at hosting the title game in Philly, and the winner of next week’s Black Friday showdown between Navy and Houston will most likely not only win the West Division, but host the title game on Dec. 5. In the aftermath Temple’s embarrasing loss to USF, there is still a scenario (somehow) in which Cincinnati could sneak into the league title game. If Temple loses to both Memphis (which will probably happen) and UConn (which probably won’t), UC wins out (including beating USF this Friday), and USF beats UCF, this would create a 3-way tie atop the East division. The first tiebreaker is record within the division, so Temple would be eliminated, having lost twice within the division. Cincinnati would then win the division based on a head-to-head victory over USF, and there you have it.
