Troy Caupain Gets Some Face Time In One Shining Moment

Perhaps the most anticipated aspect about the NCAA Tournament is “One Shining Moment”, the highlight reel that puts the capper on March Madness and the season as a whole. It’s the perfect way to send college basketball riding off into the sunset and gives David Barrett his annual few minutes in the spotlight.

This year was unsurprisingly heavy on the Final Four contenders, Duke, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Kentucky. But Cincinnati got a little face time themselves, which you can see at the 1:11 mark below.

I don’t know about you but I’m a little surprised by the clip they chose. You’d think Troy Caupain’s buzzer beating, game tying layup against Purdue would have made the reel. After all, it saved UC’s season and sent the game into overtime where the Bearcats eventually pulled out the win. But whoever puts One Shining Moment together picked a different clip.

I’m not complaining, just surprised. The fact that Troy and UC made the montage is a good thing regardless. Hell, at least they didn’t pick Quadri Moore getting posterized by Willie Cauley-Stein as Cincinnati’s lone clip.

You can watch the 2015 One Shining Moment via YouTube here, because the NCAA prohibited embedding of this video for some reason.
