Cincinnati Football: Ranking Every Game From UC’s 2015 Season
By Chris Bains
The reason this ranks ahead of Central Florida is because the Huskies boasted a semi-competent team last season. I mean, they’re still UConn but they still went bowling in 2015 whereas the Knights helped a bar set a record in beer sales.
Following the loss to the BYU Cougars the previous Friday, UC fans need a pick-me-up and they got one in the form of a drubbing of the Huskies on homecoming. Like Alabama A&M and UCF, this wasn’t a game we were particularly concerned about. But it was nice to see this team play to their potential for sixty minutes as opposed to what became their typical two and a half quarters.
The Bearcats dominated in yardage 612-266 and finally won the turnover battle. The embattled Gunner Kiel threw for over 300 yards while throwing two touchdowns and no interceptions. Plus, Cincinnati boasted two 100-yard running backs with both Mike Boone and Hosey Williams averaging over nine yards per carry. Again, not a particularly critical game for the Bearcats, other than to keep themselves in ear shot of a bowl game, but the complete superiority Cincinnati displayed was eye candy to UC fans.
