Wes Miller’s team should be able to secure a relatively comfortable win but it will be important to avoid turnovers and scoring lapses as the Mustangs look to stay within striking distance.
In the most recent matchup at SMU, Cincinnati held off a second half comeback and survived with a 54-52 win in January as Adams-Woods racked up a game-high 16 points to lead the way.
Despite coming up short, the Mustangs had multiple chances to take a lead down the stretch before Bearcats center Viktor Lakhin sealed the win with a pair of blocks in the final seconds.

Both teams are coming off losses against Memphis but the Bearcats are currently tied for fourth place in the AAC standings with a 10-7 record, while SMU sits in 10th place with a 5-12 record.
Other players to keep an eye on in the upcoming matchup include Cincinnati senior forward Landers Nolley II, plus SMU leading scorers Zhuric Phelps, Zach Nutall and Efe Odigie.
Phelps ranks fifth in the conference with 17.4 points per game but struggled in the recent loss against the Bearcats, scoring just 11 points on 5/18 shooting from the field in 27 minutes.
With less than a week until the AAC Tournament, Cincinnati is hoping to send the seniors off with a memorable performance and potentially take some momentum into postseason play.
