Following the regular season finale against SMU tomorrow afternoon, the Bearcats will turn their attention to the annual AAC Tournament, which is set to begin on Thursday in Fort Worth.

Wes Miller’s team is expected to face either Temple or Tulane in the first round on Friday at 3:00 PM. Tulane is set to host Temple tomorrow and the loser will take on Cincinnati next week.

Cincinnati and Temple are tied for fourth place in the crowded conference standings with a 10-7 record, while Tulane currently sits in sole possession of third place with an 11-6 record.

After splitting all four matchups against Temple and Tulane this season, the Bearcats will have a chance to advance past the first round and potentially make a run in the AAC Tournament.

It appeared Cincinnati was in position to complete a regular season sweep against Tulane before allowing a 7-0 run in the final minute and eventually came up short in a 101-94 overtime loss.

Despite falling short at Temple in early January, the Bearcats bounced back with an 88-83 win against the Owls as Landers Nolley II scored 20 points in the overtime victory last month.

With just a few days until the AAC Tournament gets underway, Cincinnati is hoping to send the seniors off with a memorable win over SMU and take some momentum into postseason play.

Bearcats senior guards David DeJulius and Rob Phinisee, plus center Kalu Ezikpe will be honored prior to tip off against the Mustangs with the Senior Day ceremony set to start at 1:35 PM.
