Cincinnati Football: Bearcats continue to show off next level potential in NFL Scouting Combine

A handful of former Bearcats competed in the NFL Scouting Combine last weekend including wide receiver prospects Tre Tucker and Tyler Scott showing off their speed in the 40-yard dash.

Tucker was expected to be among the fastest sprinters at the combine and the Cincinnati product came through with an impressive unofficial time of 4.41 seconds in his first attempt.

Scott recorded an unofficial time of 4.44 seconds in his final run after clocking in at 4.51 seconds in his initial sprint. The All-AAC receiver impressed in the gauntlet drill later on as well.

Both receivers earned a lot of attention leading up to the combine because of their elite speed are projected to be selected in the 2023 NFL draft, which is scheduled to begin on April 27.

Tight end prospects Leonard Taylor and Josh Whyle also participated in a series of drills during the annual event. Whyle recorded an unofficial time of 4.69 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

All-AAC cornerback Arquon Bush competed in the scouting combine last week, showing off his intriguing catch ability and footwork, plus running the 40-yard dash in 4.54 seconds.

It was recently announced the annual Pro Day will take place on March 23 as several former Bearcats will get an opportunity to impress NFL coaches and scouts leading up to the draft.

Cincinnati had more than a dozen players declare for the upcoming draft this offseason and they will get another chance to showcase their skills before potentially being picked in April.
