After displaying his impressive potential at Pro Day in late March, former Cincinnati Bearcats defensive back Arquon Bush is projected to get picked in the 2023 NFL Draft this month!
Bush finished his Bearcats career with 115 tackles, 21 pass deflections and nine interceptions in 49 appearances en route to receiving All-AAC recognition following his senior campaign.
In addition to compiling the seventh most interceptions in program history, Bush broke a school record with three blocked kicks, highlighted by a pair of blocked field goal attempts in 2021.
The senior cornerback competed in Pro Day last month with more than a dozen fellow former Bearcats including Ja’Von Hicks, Ivan Pace Jr, Tyler Scott, Jabari Taylor, Tre Tucker and Josh Whyle.

During his redshirt freshman campaign, Bush had a break out game with a fumble recovery and two interceptions including a 36-yard touchdown return against East Carolina in 2018.
Playing alongside a ton of talented defensive backs, Bush showed off his versatility by starting at nickleback for multiple years before transitioning to cornerback prior to last season.
Bush came up big with a game-changing interception in a comeback win over Miami last year as the Bearcats scored 21 straight points to secure a 16th consecutive victory in the rivalry.

The Cleveland product was a key part of a record-breaking 30-game win streak at Nippert Stadium, back to back AAC championships and the historic College Football Playoff berth.
Bush detailed the pre-draft process and reacted to his Pro Day performance in a recent interview with me!
"“After the combine, it was pretty much just me working out on my own or getting a couple of guys together to work out. Just trying to stay prepared for the call. I’ve been taking everything day by day. You can’t rush it. It’s not going to go any faster than it is so I just let it go how it goes. Just take everything second by second and let it come naturally. A bunch of people said I was going to run a 4.7 or something like that. I got to show off my speed and footwork in the drills at the Combine and Pro Day. I feel like it helped boost myself a little bit. The scouts are important because that’s who we’re showing our skills for but I was really just hyping my brothers up and trying to see them do the best they can. I’m cheering them on and we’re all cheering each other on. It was more about being with my brothers.”"
