Georgia product and 2024 3-star defensive back prospect Daniel James announced his verbal commitment to the Cincinnati Bearcats in a social media post on Monday evening!

James had an impressive junior campaign at McEachern High School, racking up 46 total tackles and 15 pass deflections, before deciding to commit to the Bearcats in recent days.

The 5’11 cornerback took an unofficial visit to Cincinnati earlier this month and picked the Bearcats over Kansas State, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, West Virginia and others.

James became the second commitment from the 2024 recruiting class, joining 3-star offensive lineman Jake Wheelock, as Scott Satterfield’s coaching staff looks to build a dominant unit.

With the upcoming Spring Game set for Saturday afternoon at Nippert Stadium, the Bearcats will continue to develop the revamped roster as the inaugural season in the Big 12 approaches.

Cincinnati Football: Bearcats pick up a commitment from 2024 offensive lineman Jake Wheelock

After developing a relationship with first-year offensive line coach Nic Cardwell, Wheelock committed to the Bearcats last weekend over offers from Duke, Virginia Tech and others.

Heading into his senior campaign at Stebbins High School, Wheelock is the 31st highest rated recruit from Ohio and 55th ranked interior offensive lineman according to 247 Sports.
