Jake Wheelock recently became the first 2024 prospect to commit to the Cincinnati Bearcats as first-year head coach Scott Satterfield looks to build a dominant class around the Dayton native.
Prior to his senior campaign at Stebbins High School, Wheelock is the 31st ranked prospect from Ohio and the 55th highest rated interior offensive lineman according to 247 Sports.

With the upcoming Spring Game set for Saturday afternoon at Nippert Stadium, Wheelock is expected to attend the annual event as the Bearcats prepare to host a ton of talented recruits.

"“Cincinnati was really a no brainer for me! Coach Cardwell was the position coach I connected to the most. His energy was unmatched. They also seemed like the team that wanted me the most. They showed constant love throughout the whole process. The location was convenient, and the staff was my favorite. On the way back from Duke, I had no doubt in my mind Cincinnati was home. I will be down for the Spring Game. Every Cincinnati visit has been amazing. They make me feel wanted and the structure of the practices are unmatched. Coach Cardwell is high energy and the practice tempo is fast. I love everything about the visits I have gone on.”"
