Cincinnati Bearcats alumni team Nasty Nati is set to compete in The Basketball Tournament for a second year in a row, with the winner taking home the $1 million prize this summer!

Nasty Nati consists of eight former Bearcats, headlined by All-AAC performers Troy Caupain, Jarron Cumberland, Octavius Ellis, Jacob Evans, Tre Scott, Keith Williams and more.

The tournament is scheduled to take place this summer with eight different regions including Dayton, Louisville, Lubbock, Philadelphia, Syracuse, West Virginia, Wichita and Xavier.

Xavier’s Regional will tip off in July, followed by the $1 million championship game in early August. Nasty Nati was eliminated by the Fort Wayne Champs in the first round a year ago.

Cumberland scored a team-high 18.8 points per game en route to being named 2019 AAC Player of the Year, while Scott received the 2020 AAC Defensive Player of the Year award.

Other players that are expected to participate for Nasty Nati include former Bearcats Coreontae DeBerry and Shaq Thomas. Cashmere Wright will replace Corie Blount as head coach.

Wes Miller’s staff has recently added three transfers from the portal including former Temple center Jamille Reynolds, Kentucky guard CJ Fredrick and Butler wing Simas Lukosius.
