Following stints at Florida and Arizona State, Bearcats senior quarterback Emory Jones is hoping to cap off his career on a high note this season.

Jones showed off his dual threat ability in the annual Spring Game, highlighted by a touchdown pass to fellow Georgia native Payten Singletary.

Scott Satterfield’s spread-style offense should give Jones a chance to make plays through the air and on the ground throughout the year.

After four seasons in Gainesville, Jones transferred to Arizona State last year and started seven games before going down with an injury.

Jones posted 1,533 passing yards and 11 total touchdowns with the Sun Devils last season but was replaced after getting injured in October.

Satterfield and first-year quarterbacks coach Pete Thomas made a push for him in December and Jones eventually earned the starting job.

The former Florida quarterback compiled 4,620 total yards and 36 touchdowns in 37 games with the Gators before moving to Arizona State.
