After suffering a season-ending pectoral injury a year ago, Cincinnati Bearcats veteran defensive end Malik Vann is ready to return to form!
During the home opener last September, Vann went down with an upper-body injury and was forced to miss the remainder of the season.
The Cincinnati product committed to his hometown program over six years ago and developed into a significant contributor on the defensive line.
Vann totaled 90 tackles, 21 tackles for loss and eight sacks in 47 games, helping the Bearcats secure back to back AAC championships.
Cincinnati Football: Malik Vann is ready to return to form following season-ending injury
Despite losing a lot of production from the defense, Cincinnati brings back All-AAC defensive tackles Jowon Briggs and Dontay Corleone.
Other players that are expected to make an impact on the defensive front include Dominique Perry, Eric Phillips, Justin Wodtly and more.
There has been plenty of roster turnover since last season but the defensive line shouldn’t be a concern with so much experience returning.
Vann decided to come back for a sixth year after applying for a medical redshirt and will look to cap off his memorable career on a high note.
