After building momentum throughout training camp, the Cincinnati Bearcats are continuing to gear up for the regular season opener this weekend.

Eastern Kentucky is coming off a 7-5 campaign that continued to show progress as the offense compiled 36.2 points and 452.5 yards per game.

As the regular season opener quickly approaches, Cincinnati announced four team captains ahead of the inaugural Big 12 campaign!

Bearcats defensive duo Jowon Briggs and Dontay Corleone are captains alongside quarterback Emory Jones and center Gavin Gerhardt.

Corleone is hoping to build on a historic redshirt freshman season and Briggs is looking to cap off his Cincinnati career on a positive note.

Jones was named the Bearcats starting quarterback in April, while Gerhardt is the only returning starter from the offensive line last season.
