It will be difficult to contain Eastern Kentucky’s high-powered offense so Bryan Brown’s defense needs to avoid mistakes and limit explosive plays.

The Bearcats should be able to pull away eventually but Eastern Kentucky’s offense has to be taken seriously in the upcoming season opener.

With an opportunity to open Satterfield’s tenure on a high note, the Bearcats will look to take down the Colonels on Saturday at Nippert Stadium.

Led by quarterback Parker McKinney and running back Braedon Sloan, Eastern Kentucky’s offense could create concerns for the Bearcats defense.

Satterfield previewed the season opener and reminisced on past meetings against the Colonels in a press conference per Cincinnati Athletics.

"“Eastern Kentucky is a team I’ve played a lot over the years. We played them a lot when I was at App State and twice at Louisville. They have a lot of pride in their play and they’re coming off a really outstanding year. Coach Wells has done an outstanding job since taking over the program and really infused some life into them. Some of the players that he brought in has made plays. Starting with the quarterback, I think he’s done some great things and had a record-setting year.”"
