Cincinnati Football: Preview for the Bearcats upcoming Big 12 road debut at BYU
Cincinnati should compete with the Cougars but it’s certainly going to be challenging to pull off a victory unless the recent offensive concerns are corrected.
Following a great start to the season, the Bearcats lost back to back games but a matchup against BYU could see the frustrating losing skid come to a close!
Satterfield looked ahead to the Big 12 battle at BYU and reacted to the recent offensive struggles during a midweek press conference via Cincinnati Athletics.
"“We’re really close and we talked about it as a whole offense. We’re moving the ball but that seems like we get bogged down at the wrong time. We have to do a great job of staying on the sticks and execute. When you get in the red zone, it shrinks and is condensed so you’re going to have to win some one on one battles. There are not many times that you’re just free to run in the end zone. We have to continue to do what we’re doing, trust the plan we have and execute. We had guys running wide open and a couple times we’re getting hit as the ball is getting thrown. We need more protection on those particular plays. It comes down to a few plays and it all works together. You can’t have one guy that doesn’t do his job because that will throw the whole thing off. We have good plays and players so we have to go execute.”"
