Adam Finkelstein recently released a scouting report on the Cincinnati Bearcats commit and 2024 4-star power forward Tyler Betsey via 247 Sports!
Following an official visit to Cincinnati last month, Betsey included the Bearcats in his finalists along with the Alabama Crimson Tide and UConn Huskies.
Heading into his senior season at St. Thomas More High School, Betsey is the highest rated prospect from Connecticut in the 2024 class per 247 Sports.
Several notable schools were hoping to land Betsey before he committed to Cincinnati today including the Duke Blue Devils, Indiana Hoosiers and others.

Betsey discussed his decision to join the Bearcats and reflected on his recruiting process in a recent statement at Windsor High School via 247 Sports.
Cincinnati is set to host the defending tournament conference champion Texas Longhorns in the first ever Big 12 home opener on Saturday, January 9.

Betsey is the highest ranked prospect to commit to the Bearcats since Miller was hired in 2021 and the third best commit in modern school history.
During a press conference, Miller looked ahead to the upcoming campaign and reflected on plenty of recent roster movement per Cincinnati Athletics.
The recent commitment is a huge moment for the program as Betsey and McKinley create a dynamic duo heading into the inaugural Big 12 campaign.
With a chance to secure an NCAA Tournament berth for the first time since 2019, the Bearcats are trying to find success in Miller’s third year at the helm!
