As the losing steak continued with a last-second loss against the Baylor Bears on Saturday, the Cincinnati Bearcats remain winless to open Big 12 play.

The Bearcats struggled to find an offensive groove until both running backs started to create explosive plays and that eventually opened up the pass attack.

Cincinnati running back Corey Kiner was able to post a game-high 129 rushing yards, while Myles Montgomery had 108 yards and two touchdowns.
Even though the Bearcats eventually came up short in a fifth straight loss, Montgomery added a much-needed boost to the running game along with Kiner.
One of the most consequential plays occurred in the first half as Cincinnati wide receiver Braden Smith fumbled a kick off and Baylor returned it for a score.
With an opportunity to cut into the deficit heading into halftime, Montgomery showed off impressive elusiveness with a 38-yard touchdown rush.

Following a defensive stop that allowed a chance to complete the comeback, Cincinnati couldn’t get into field goal range and later turned it over on downs.
It appeared Baylor would pull away after going up by double digits in the second quarter but the Bearcats fought back and had a chance to secure a victory.
The final possession came to an end as Cincinnati quarterback Emory Jones failed to connect with tight end Chamon Metayer on fourth down near midfield.
