Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Wes Miller and his staff officially signed 2024 4-star commits Tyler Betsey and Tyler McKinley on early signing day!

During his time at St. Thomas More High School, Betsey averaged 21 points and five rebounds en route to earning All-Conference honors last year.

McKinley played his first two years at Walnut Hills High School before transferring to Link Academy, where he helped win the Geico national title game.

The Cincinnati native compiled 17 points and six rebounds in the title game last year, and will play next season with Winton Woods High School.

Betsey is currently the highest rated prospect from Connecticut and 40th ranked recruit from the 2024 class in the country according to 247 Sports.

McKinley will eventually become the fourth former Link Academy player to play for Miller as he joins his hometown program in just a matter of months.

The Bearcats now await a commitment from 2024 4-star point guard Travis Perry, who will make his announce his college decision on Sunday afternoon.

Miller reacted to the signings of both commits and officially introduced Betsey and McKinley in a social media post in recent days via Cincinnati Athletics.

"“We are thrilled to have Tyler Betsey sign his national letter of intent. We’ve recruited him for a year. He’s a great kid and big-time player. Our fans will be excited to see him. We’ve been recruiting Tyler McKinley for over two years so we have a great relationship with not only him, but his family that is right here in Cincinnati.”"
