Bearcats Baseball takes home tons of Big 12 awards

The Big 12 announced its regular-season awards while the Big 12 Tournament is currently underway, and with the college baseball selection show just around the corner on May 25th. Cincinnati Bearcats Baseball finished the regular season with a 37-19 record, finishing sixth in the Big 12 with a 17-13 record. The Bearcats had 8 players selected to either the First Team All-Big 12, Second Team All-Big 12, or All-Freshman team.

Quentin Coates, Nate Taylor, and Enzo Infelise all made First Team All-Big 12, being the 3 most impactful players on the Bearcats roster. Coates led the team in home runs with 28, RBI's with 78, and posted a 1.204 OPS. Taylor, a right-handed pitcher, ended the regular season pitching 81 innings and recording 111 strikeouts, a career high. He also had a 3.78 ERA and a WHIP of 1.19. Infelise also finished as the Big 12's Freshman of the Year. He batted a 3.74, the highest on the team this season, had an on-base percentage of .441, and an OPS of .991. He batted in 44 runs while scoring 34 as a runner in 55 games played this season.

Jack Natili and Adam Buczkowski both made Second Team All-Big 12 after a dominant batting and pitching season. Natili, the catcher from Ventia, Pennsylvania, batted .338 in the regular season, hitting 16 home runs and recording 59 RBI's, the second most on the team. Natili also had the second-best OPS on the team at 1.067. Buczkowski, the right-handed pitcher from Carmel, Indiana, had an ERA of 3.82 and a 4-1 record in 37.2 innings this year in 26 games he appeared in.
