Brendan Sorsby gets Big 12 honors for performance against Northwestern State

Cincinnati Bearcats quarterback Brendan Sorsby had his best game of the season statistically this past week against the Northwestern State Demons and was recognized by the Big 12 because of it.

Sorsby passed the ball 15 times, completing all 15 passes for 253 yards and 5 passing touchdowns, while adding 39 yards rushing and a rushing touchdown. Sorsby was the week three Big 12 offensive player of the week because of this impressive performance in the Bearcats' 70-0 win this past Saturday.

Sorsby passed for 5 touchdowns in the first quarter, the most ever by a Big 12 quarterback in a single quarter. He is the first FBS quarterback since 2015 to pass for at least 5 touchdowns in one quarter.

Sorsby currently sits at No. 7 in the nation in QBR with a 89.0 over the first three weeks of the college football season. He was also the highest graded quarterback according to Pro Football Focus with a rating of 95.5 this past week against Northwestern State.
