Cincinnati Bearcats quarterback Brendan Sorsby is becoming recognized nationwide as one of the top quarterback prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft, according to many NFL Scouts.
Sorsby was named as one of the top prospects by NFL scouts and executives per ESPN. In the latest poll, Fernando Mendonza was the top vote-getter, followed by Dante Moore and Ty Simpson. John Mateer, LaNorris Sellers, and Brendan Sorsby also received votes.
Sorsby is in the same conversation as some high-profile college football quarterbacks, all of whom have more offensive weapons and a larger school brand to help get their name out there.
Sorsby has thrown for 2,064 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions for the Bearcats so far in 9 games, going 7-2 in that span. Sorsby also adds 453 rushing yards and 8 rushing touchdowns on 73 rushing attempts, averaging 6.2 yards per carry. He is responsible for the most touchdowns in College Football with 29.
According to Tankathon, Sorsby is currently projected to go to the Las Vegas Raiders at No. 114 overall in the fourth round.
