The Cincinnati Bearcats received a verbal commitment from a 2026 defensive back, Markell Taylor on June 25th. The 3-star recruit from Dallas, Georgia, chose the Bearcats over schools like Miami (FL), Kansas State, and Wake Forest.
But one school that hasn't officially offered him is in the running to poach the Bearcats commit. His home-state team, the Georgia Bulldogs, have been lurking in the shadows. Taylor has been hearing from Georgia in recent weeks, visiting campus last Saturday, August 30th, when the Bulldogs played Marshall, beating them 45-7. Taylor attends North Paulding High School, just 2 hours from Georgia's Athens campus.
