The Cincinnati Bearcats have already gotten some recognition defensively, and it could not have come any sooner.
Bearcats team captain and starting linebacker Jake Golday, who transferred in from Central Arkansas in 2024, was named the Defensive Player of the Week in the Big 12.
Golday was given the honor for his incredible performance of 12 tackles (three solo), one sack, and one tackle for a loss. he was all over the field in week one, being able to sniff out screens, zone runs, and even man up on a tight end or running back. His highlight play came when he sacked Raiola to push them deep into field goal range on a third down.
Make sure you tune in this Saturday to watch Golday and the Bearcats take on the Bowling Green Falcons!
