The Cincinnati Bearcats opened up a roster spot after Jizzle James was dismissed from the team on August 19th. With the final roster spot, the Bearcats announced they would be signing Brazilian shooting guard Lucas Atauri.
Atauri joining the Bearcats marks the 8th foreign player on the Bearcats this season, all from seven unique countries.

The 21-year-old Atauri stands at 6-foot-5 and shot 39% from three-point range in the NBB last season. In this summer's Global Jam, he recorded 14 points and 7 rebounds in the championship game against the Georgetown Hoyas.
Atauri committed to DePaul on Aug. 25th, but hadn't signed his letter of intent, so he was able to change his commitment.
