Evan Tengesdahl, a junior offensive guard for the Cincinnati Bearcats, is the highest ranked player at his position to start the college football season in EA Sports College Football 27 video game. Tengesdahl is ranked ahead of Shadre Hurst from Houston, Luke Montgomery from Ohio State, Greg Johnson from Minnesota, Drew Evans from Indiana, Addison Nichols from SMU, Austin Sierveld from Ohio State, Anthonia Knapp from Notre Dame, Noah Josey from Virginia and, Wendell Moe Jr. from Tennessee.
Tengesdahl attended Wayne High School in Dayton, OH, and was a 3-star prospect, the No. 19 player in Ohio from the class of 2023. He chose the Bearcats over Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Kent State, Miami (OH), Toledo, and Western Michigan.
Going into next season as a redshirt junior, Tengesdahl has two seasons of eligibility remaining, and with no expectation of him staying for 2027, he is likely to be a high draft pick next season. As far as the 2026 season is concerned, the Bearcats should have one of the best offensive lines in the Big 12 and in College Football. Cincinnati had one of the best units last season, not allowing a sack until week 7 at Oklahoma State, and only allowing five sacks on the season. Along with Tengesdahl, Joe Cotton is also returning, and so is Taran Tyo. With a trio of extremely talented returning starters coming back to Cincinnati's offensive line, their run game is expected to be their focus, especially with transfer Gi'Bran Payne turning eyes this spring.
