After trailing by double digits in the second half, the Cincinnati Bearcats used a record-breaking run to advance in the Big 12 Tournament today!
Cincinnati set a Big 12 Tournament record by knocking down 16 3-pointers in the comeback victory to take down rival West Virginia 90-85.
It appeared the Bearcats were on the way to being eliminated but a 20-4 run tied it in the second half and totally shifted momentum.
Wes Miller’s team will advance to meet Kansas in the second round of the Big 12 Tournament on Wednesday night at the T-Mobile Center!

Bearcats forward Simas Lukosius racked up a career-best 31-point performance including 26 points throughout the second half comeback.
Cincinnati guard DaVeon Thomas compiled a career-high 29 points, highlighted by a clutch game-sealing 3-pointer in the final seconds.
Lukosius connected on six consecutive shots from beyond the arc that helped the Bearcats turn a double digit deficit into a narrow win.
Thomas drilled back to back 3-pointers to hand Cincinnati an 83-82 lead and eventually earn the first Big 12 Tournament win in program history!
