By Charles Post
During a recent press conference, the Cincinnati Bearcats officially introduced the new defensive coordinator Tyson Veidt on Monday morning!
Scott Satterfield discussed the decision to hire Veidt and explained what he should bring to the Bearcats coaching staff in a press release.
"Having coached at Iowa State for eight years, Tyson knows the Big 12 and helped build Iowa State into one of the country's top defenses."
The Ohio native has an extensive background on defense and coached alongside Matt Campbell at Toledo before following him to Iowa State.

Cincinnati decided to hire Veidt because former defensive coordinator Bryan Brown accepted a job at his alma mater Ole Miss in recent weeks.
Iowa State was just the third team in conference history to be atop the Big 12 in passing, rushing, scoring and total defense in the 2022 campaign.
The Bearcats new defensive coordinator is set to return to his old stomping grounds during a matchup at Iowa State set for November 16.
Veidt is expected to run a 3-3-5 defense that will include three safeties and should put more of an emphasis on the secondary moving forward!
