Navy Midshipmen. 3. team. 2394. It was only Navy’s first game as a member of The American, and QB Keenan Reynolds has already set an AAC record by rushing for 5 TDs in a single game.  Navy raced out to a 28-7 second quarter lead and controlled the clock by an almost 2-to-1 margin, erasing any hope of an ECU comeback, even though they tried to hang around.  The Midshipmen threw just seven passes, but they probably could have thrown zero.  Their option offense chewed up ECU for 415 yards rushing.. (2-0, 1-0 AAC). Previous: 4th

team. 2399. The struggles continued for AAC teams on the road against MAC schools.  Temple went on the road to UMass and trailed 23-20 with a UMass extra point pending and 1:20 to play.  The Owls were then gifted one of the most bizzare 2-point plays I’ve ever seen.  The Minutemen botched the extra point snap, and as the UMass holder scrambled, an Owl defender literally just took the ball right out of the holder’s hands and lateraled it to a teammate, who ran it back for 2 points.  Now down just a point instead of needing a TD to win, PJ Walker was able to lead the Owls into field goal range, and Austin Jones kicked a 32-yarder with 0:07 left to give Temple the win.  Call me a homer if you will, but I’m still not convinced this Temple team won’t lose two games in AAC play.. (3-0, 1-0 AAC). Previous: 3rd. Temple Owls. 4
