Jayden Davis, 2023 3-star defensive back, decommitted from Louisville last night and is expected to consider the Bearcats after having a recent visit with defensive coordinator Bryan Brown.

The senior safety received an offer from Cincinnati on Tuesday then met with Brown and Bearcats new linebackers coach Derek Nicholson the following night before decommitting on Thursday.

After originally committing to Louisville in early February, Davis decided to reopen his recruitment when head coach Scott Satterfield accepted the job at Cincinnati on Monday morning.

Davis is the 45th ranked safety in the nation and the 46th highest rated prospect from Georgia per 247 Sports. He also has offers from Arkansas, Kentucky, Michigan, TCU, Tennessee and more.

Following Luke Fickell’s departure, a trio of defensive backs decommitted in Amare Snowden, Braedyn Moore and Jonas Duclona so the Bearcats could look to Davis as a replacement.

In order to replenish the recruiting class ahead of national signing day, Cincinnati’s staff will need to flip a couple commits and Davis seems to be a realistic option after his recent decommitment.

Miami native Stanquan Clark is another current Louisville commit the Bearcats will likely target. The 2023 4-star linebacker is reportedly considering Auburn, Cincinnati, Miami and others.
