Cincinnati Football: Breaking down the Bearcats early signing day commitments

Despite the recent coaching change, the Bearcats were able to sign 15 recruits today including 4-star quarterback Brady Drogosh, 3-star linebacker Trevor Carter and 3-star safety Jayden Davis.
Drogosh remained committed after the hire of Scott Satterfield and is the top prospect heading to Cincinnati this cycle. The 6’4, 200-pound quarterback is a 4-star recruit per 247 Sports.
Carter is the longest tenured commit in the class after originally committing to Cincinnati last year. The in-state product from Ironton High School signed his letter of intent today as well.
After decommitting from Louisville earlier this month, Davis confirmed his verbal commitment to the Bearcats on Wednesday. The Georgia native took an official visit to Cincinnati last week.

The Bearcats got started early this morning as former Louisville linebacker Dorian Jones officially transferred and will have two years of eligibility left after playing 13 games this season.
Baltimore native and 3-star edge rusher Brian Simms III signed his national letter of intent just moments later. The 6’3, 240-pound prospect originally committed to Cincinnati in October.
In addition to hanging onto several talented commits, the Bearcats new-look coaching staff was able to flip former Louisville commit and 3-star cornerback Rayquan Adkins this morning.
Cincinnati wrapped up the day with official commitments from 3-star defensive lineman Kamari Burns, plus 3-star wide receiver and former Nebraska commit Barry Jackson Jr.

Another recruit that committed last year was 3-star interior offensive lineman Evan Tengesdahl. The Dayton native is a 6’4, 285-pound prospect that is expected join the Bearcats next month.
Ironton product and 3-star wide receiver Ty Perkins committed to the Bearcats in June before signing his letter of intent today. The 6’3, 190-pound receiver will also join the team in January.
Even though the class was damaged by Luke Fickell’s departure, the Bearcats are set to bring in plenty of skilled prospects with long-time commits Carter, Drogosh and Tengesdahl in the mix.
