Cincinnati Basketball: Nasty Nati set to face The Money Team in first round of annual TBT event

Cincinnati alumni team Nasty Nati will face The Money Team in The Basketball Tournament first round on Friday at the Cintas Center!

Nasty Nati consists of eight former Bearcats including Troy Caupain, Jarron Cumberland, Jacob Evans, Tre Scott and Keith Williams.

Stay tuned for the most recent roster changes and updates as Nasty Nati attempts to make a run in the annual single elimination event.

The Money Team is headlined by previous NBA players Trevor Booker and CJ Elleby, plus former Houston Cougars standout Corey Davis.

Caupain and Evans picked up All-AAC First Team recognition in 2016, while Cumberland was named 2019 AAC Player of the Year.

Nasty Nati lost to the Fort Wayne Champs in the first round last summer and Cashmere Wright replaced Corie Blount as head coach.

Other players that will participate for Nasty Nati alongside Caupain include Coreontae DeBerry, Octavius Ellis, Shaq Thomas and more!

The Xavier Regional will get started on Friday afternoon at the Cintas Center, followed by the $1 million championship game in August.

Cincinnati Basketball: Bearcats alum Troy Caupain signs contract with professional club in Spain

Bearcats product Troy Caupain will continue his professional career after signing a contract with Spanish club UCAM Murcia last week!

During his senior campaign with at Cincinnati, Caupain averaged 10.5 points per game en route to taking home All-AAC honors.

Following a stint with the Orlando Magic, Caupain played in several countries including Belgium, Germany, Israel, Italy and Turkey.

The former Cincinnati standout is set to represent Nasty Nati in The Basketball Tournament this week along with fellow Bearcats alumni.
