With the College Baseball season coming to an end after the Oklahoma Sooners beat the North Carolina Tar Heels in the College Baseball World Series earlier this week, postseason awards and recognitions are being handed out.

Quinton Coats, the team leader in home runs with 28, made the All-American third team as a first baseman. Cincinnati backup Catcher and Designated Hitter Enzo Infelise made the All-American Freshman team as the DH. Derrick Pitts, an outfielder for the Bearcats was invited to the Team USA training camp taking place in the coming weeks.

After the Bearcats season came to an earlier end than players and coaches would've wanted, it's still acceptable to call this season a success. The Bearcats have improved every year under head coach Jordan Bischel, going from 32 wins in 2024, being one of the first four teams to miss the regional round, to 33 wins in 2025 and a loss in the Knoxville regional, and in 2026, 35 wins and a loss in the Starkville regional. The Bearcats were the No. 2 seed in the No. 14 overall region. meaning they were No. 19 overall in the field, missing out on hosting a regional round by 3 spots. Players previously named, including Coats, Infelise, and Pitts, plus Jack Natili and Ryan Tyranski are all returning to the Bearcats in 2027.

With all of these young players coming back improved and hungry from a shorter season, including Bischel coming back better, the sky is the limit for the Bearcats next season.
