The matchups are finally set for the 2026 ESPN Events Invitational this november with games taking place on November 26th (Thanksgiving), and November 27th. The Cincinnati Bearcats will take on the Boston College Eagles on the 26th, and Georgia and UCF will play too. On the 27th, Cincinnati will play Georgia, and Boston College will play UCF.
The news was broken by CBS Sports' college basketball insider Jon Rothstein. The event was announced back in late May by Rothstein as well, without game dates.
This nonconference regular season, the Bearcats will be taking on these notable programs in order: Ohio State in an exhibition game at the Lindner Family Tennis Center, A home game against Minnesota in November that is TBD, a game on the road against Dayton on Nov. 14, a neutral site game against Boston College and Georgia on Nov. 26th and 27th, a home game against Xavier on Dec. 5th, and a game against Clemson that is TBD. The Bearcats were also supposed to take a return trip to Louisville to complete the home-and-home they scheduled, but they cannot play the game due to Freedom Hall undergoing renovations.
As far as "buy" games go, the Bearcats haven't announced any games. Assuming Eastern Michigan isn't on the schedule, there shouldn't be much of a concern here.
Cincinnati has a loaded non-conference, plus they will be participating in the Baha Mar Hoops Summer League in early August, which will give them tons of time to mesh as a team and get used to playing with one another before the Big 12 regular season starts.
