Former Cincinnati Bearcats guard Simas Lukosius recently signed a deal to play basketball overseas in his home country of Lithuania.
Lukosius played for the Bearcats from 2023 to 2024, after transferring from Butler. He averaged 11.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists across his two seasons in Cincinnati.
Lukosius had a handful of good memories from his time in Cincinnati, including a game winner in the 2024 NIT against San Francisco to cap off a 28-point night, a 31-point, 7-three-point performance against West Virginia in the 2024 Big 12 Tournament, and a go-ahead jumper late in the game against Dayton this season.
Lukosius signed with the BC Rytas of FIBA Champions League. BC Rytas plays in Vilnius, Lithuania, just an hour outside of his hometown of Kaunas.
Lukosius joins several former Bearcats playing overseas this year, including David Dejulius, Ody Oguama, Troy Caupain, and John Newman III.
