AAC Power Rankings: Week 6

The top of the league continues to West Division-centric, with Memphis, Houston, and Navy all looking like contenders. Those three, along with Temple, continue to be undefeated, and Memphis has cracked the Coaches’ Top 25 (although we all know how much of a joke that poll is). All four undefeated teams are receiving votes in both polls as this point. There is a serious possiility that we could see three ranked AAC teams at some point if Navy and Memphis can pull off statement wins this week.

2394. If you like option football, you loved this game, which featured only 22 combined pass attempts. Keenan Reynolds was again the star (183 rush yards, 117 pass yards, 1 pass TD), as Navy beat old rival Air Force. The big win probably etches Navy’s name on the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy, given Army’s struggles over the last five years or so. And now Navy gets a shot to show the nation what it is made of against Notre Dame next week.. . Temple rolled a Charlotte program that literally didn’t exist 26 months ago, and is in it’s first year in the FBS – for all intents and purposes, this is basically an FCS team, so you’d expect Temple to roll. I’m still unconvinced that they can beat any of the top 3 teams, but luckily for PJ Walker, they only have to play Memphis..
