Cincinnati Bearcats offensive line ranked No. 14 in the country by Phil Steele

Phil Steele, one of college football's most respected analysts, released his rankings for the Top 50 offensive line units in college football. The Cincinnati Bearcats unit which is headlined by returners Evan Tengesdahl, Joe Cotton, and Taran Tyo. Steele ranked the unit No. 14 in the country, behind SMU, Navy, Michigan, Virginia, Army, Oregon, Georgia, Missouri, USC, Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio State, and Notre Dame in that order.

Outside of Tengesdahl, Cotton, and Tyo, the Bearcats brought in Xavier Lozowicki, a transfer from Western Michigan who can play guard or center. Judea Milon, a transfer from UMass is expected to be in the rotation for offensive tackle along with Nolan Latulippe, who transferred into Cincinnati in 2025 after playing for Albany at the FCS level. Latulippe was named to the Phil Steele Freshman All-American team in 2023 and is really an x-factor for this offensive line unit. Scott Satterfield has voiced his praise for this unit time and time again, calling them one of the best units in the country for this upcoming season at Big 12 Media Day.

The Bearcats offensive line unit last season was one of the best in the country as well, Gavin Gerhardt, the starting center and team captain was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and will be a large hole to fill. Tyo or Lozowicki are likely to be the ones to playing center this season.

The Bearcats offensive line only allowed 8 sacks last season which was second in all of college football to Army, whose quarterback averaged 7 passes a game. With returners coming back and players being more familiar with the system, the offensive line can come back better than ever.
