A trio of recent coaching moves headline the Cincinnati Bearcats new-look coaching staff heading into the upcoming 2024 campaign!
Bearcats first-year defensive coordinator Tyson Veidt and offensive analyst Curtis Fitch recently joined the coaching staff prior to spring practice.
Cincinnati is set to continue to search for a new running backs coach after De'Rail Sims departed for the same position at Tennessee this week.
Fitch played quarterback at Appalachian State last decade before being a graduate assistant with East Carolina and LSU in recent years.
Cincinnati Football: Bearcats continue to construct new-look coaching staff
Cincinnati decided to hire Veidt because former defensive coordinator Bryan Brown accepted a job at his alma mater Ole Miss in recent weeks.
Scott Satterfield discussed the decision to hire Veidt and explained what he should bring to the Bearcats coaching staff in a press release.
"Having coached at Iowa State for eight years, Tyson knows the Big 12 and helped build Iowa State into one of the country's top defenses."
Veidt is expected to run a 3-3-5 defense that will include three safeties and should put more of an emphasis on the secondary moving forward.
