Cincinnati Football: Bearcats prepare to participate in inaugural Big 12 Pro Day

A handful of former Cincinnati Bearcats are on the brink of participating in the inaugural Big 12 Pro Day at the Ford Center in Texas this week!

Bearcats defensive line tandem Jowon Briggs, Daniel Grzesiak and Malik Vann will appear at the Big 12 Pro Day along with safety Taj Ward.

Cincinnati quarterback Emory Jones, running back Ryan Montgomery, receiver Dee Wiggins and center Trevor Radosevich will compete.

The conference is scheduled to host 137 total prospects that will show off their skills prior to the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft next month!

Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark discussed his expectations for the conference's first ever Pro Day in a recent article from The Athletic.

"I think it’s a big opportunity for us to showcase our brand, how we do things and then obviously provide a platform for our student athletes."

During his memorable career with the Bearcats, Briggs developed into a key part of the defense with 130 tackles and eight sacks in three years.

Cincinnati Football: 2024 NFL Draft could include multiple former Bearcats

Detroit is prepared to host the annual draft on April 25-27 and there are a handful of former Cincinnati standouts that could be drafted.

Even though most former Bearcats are expected to sign undrafted free agent contracts, there are a couple of players that could be drafted too!

Grzesiak displayed impressive potential during his lone season at Cincinnati and he should be on the radar for most teams prior to the draft.

Vann racked up 102 total tackles and 22.5 sacks during six seasons with his hometown Bearcats before declaring for the NFL Draft in November!
